The SolarSystem 550 can be daisy chained together, up to 1000 lights at a time. The SolarSystem 550 can also be programmed with on/off times, sunlight and sunset modes (gradual intensity changes over a user-defined period, usually 10-30 min). Experienced growers get great results and love the adjustability of the spectrum and intensity.

It suits the experienced grower a little more than the rookie grower because some spectral knowledge really helps to get the most from this light. This allows the grower to tailor light spectrum for veg and bloom according to the requirements of the variety.

The red, white and blue LEDs are on separate circuits. When the blue and red LEDS are on the normal color is purple. The white light mode is a convenient light in which to inspect and admire your plants. This means that the red and blue LED circuits are switched off and just the white LEDs remain on. The pictures were taken in 'white light mode'. The SolarSystem 550 is a powerful light and was hung at the top of the tent to avoid overly-intense light at the canopy level and stunting growth.
