The New Production we’ve just seen wasn’t innovative nor creative! Furthermore, neither Pushkin or later Tchaikovsky, had any intention to turn their particular Masterpieces in to a Comedy!!! Pushkin’s Story is a drama, about greed, love and misfortune, and Tchaikovsky have respectfully followed just that, accenting the Eternal ill of the Human Race.
